💛 Welcome to Parents' Corner
Quacky & Rex might belong to little adventurers, but this corner is especially for the grown-ups.
Here you'll find ideas for making stories, colouring and creative activities even more enjoyable at home.
🌙 Making Bedtime Reading Special
Bedtime doesn't need to be complicated.
Try creating a simple routine:
Choose a story.
Get comfortable.
Put distractions away.
Read together.
Then talk about what happened.
Ask questions like:
“What was your favourite part?”
“What would you have done?”
“Where should Quacky and Rex go next?”
There are no wrong answers.
The goal is to encourage imagination.
🎨 Colouring Without Rules
A dinosaur doesn't have to be green.
A duck doesn't have to be yellow.
The sky doesn't even have to be blue.
Let children experiment with colours and create their own version of the Quacky & Rex world.
🧠 Learning Through Play
Simple activities can help children practise skills while having fun.
Puzzles can encourage problem solving.
Dot-to-dot activities can help with numbers and coordination.
Colouring can encourage concentration and creativity.
Stories can introduce new words and ideas.
Most importantly, children get to enjoy themselves.
📵 Screen-Free Time
Printable activities can provide an alternative when you want some time away from phones, tablets and television.
Try creating a small Quacky & Rex activity box containing:
- Crayons
- Pencils
- Printed activities
- Child-safe scissors
- Glue
- Paper
Then it's ready whenever you need it.
🌟 Keep It Fun
Not every activity needs to be completed perfectly.
If your child wants to turn a puzzle into a drawing or invent a completely different ending to a story, that's part of the adventure.
Quacky & Rex is about encouraging imagination, not creating homework.
